I love the springtime.
Sadly, so do chatty birds.
Windows shut=Sweet peace.

2. fork in the road
Reality's there
for businessmen to follow
and dreamers, reject.

3. fire: for the night is dark and full of terrors
Some see a cleansing;
Others shut their eyes, seeing
only destruction.

4. stars
Have the stars heard you
crying? or have they watched you
shine in their ghost-lights?

Haiku Collection 1I lay in my bed
looking up at the night sky
where is my ceiling?

I live in a town
that everyone claims to hate
yet no one leaves

trees dancing in wind
the sky covered by grey clouds
the storm is coming

I like thunderstorms
they tend to bring more action
to this boring town

thunder, rain, lighting
a pathetic fallacy
to this young man's life

I can be quite dark
but also light if I want
which do you prefer?

PerfectionHair glowing, red fire.
Your eyes, emerald beauty.
Perfect, without me.

At a time when my mood was low
Stuck at home pending surgery
My brother thought it might suit me

"Go on" he said, "give it a try."
"Find out what art catches your eye!"
I was amazed, so much great art
Though I didn't know where to start

But piece by piece I found my way
Finding things to brighten my day
Writing, fractals, my interests grew
Photos, manipulations too!

After my op, my friends were there
Cheering me up, showing they care
And when illness threatened once more
You were there for me, like before

Around the world, I made new friends
Each following their own trends
Sharing their work for all

A True hero"MPFFF!"  Caz struggled to make herself heard but the chances were slim.  She was bound and gagged, the ropes encircled her body in bands from her upper arms to her ankles and a blue bandana, which clashed with her long, pink dress, was tied in her mouth, muffling her cries for help.  She had been placed on the railway tracks as an incentive to accept an unwanted marriage proposal, though Caz was not exactly being cooperative.

"Time's nearly up, my pretty!"  The dastardly villain stood over Caz, laughing evilly.  "If you won't be mine then no one else can have you!"

I'm glad you enjoyed the haiku. I always had a soft spot for this one - I love autumn, especially the colours and the haiku just seemed the perfect way to express it.

I love the use of 'red and gold confetti', I have never heard that saying before I don't think; and it works so well.

Thank you very much, for both the comment and the fave. I got the idea of confetti from walking under some trees that were shedding leaves - the sun was shining and picking up the colours and it reminded me of confetti. The haiku came from that image.
